A day in the life of.....

Taylor has been working as a sales person in a retail store for several months. He has learned many valuable skills during this time and knows a lot about store operations.  

Taylor recently commenced his Certificate II in Retail Services qualification which has assisted him in performing a range of duties at work.  He sometimes works unsupervised when his manager sets him a task and he is left to complete it. He regularly uses the terminal to transact customer sales, performs stock counts on fast or slow selling stock and He unpacks and checks the stock deliveries. 

As part of his Certificate II in Retail Services qualification, Taylor has learned to assist customers with their product selections, prevent customer theft and to maintain and display merchandise so it appeals to customers.  Each day involves something different for Taylor, and he enjoys the challenges of being busy, working within a team and selling to customers. 


Taylor hopes to be promoted to a supervisor’s role in the future.
