Frequently Asked Questions
What is RPL?
In many cases students with on the job experience can receive Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), upto 100% of the course. RPL drastically reduces the amount of training required to gain this qualification. Click here for more about RPL.
Does everyone receive the same level of subsidy under the Certificate 3 Guarantee?
No, students (or their partner or guardians) who hold a Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students will receive a higher level of subsidy for their Certificate III Qualification. ARC can reduce fee costs for these participants (Click here for fee information).
Can I do my course online or as an external student?
No, because we have a very ‘hands on’ and practical approach, we prefer to be able to give one on one assistance to our students.
Can I do my Certificate III in Business using Certificate 3 Guarantee funding if I have already done a Certificate III Qualification, but due to medical reason can’t perform the work aligned to the qualification?
No, to be eligible to receive the Certificate 3 Guarantee as at 1 July 2013 you must not already hold, or not be currently studying, a Certificate III or higher level qualification. This includes any equivalent Certificate III or higher level training completed, or being completed, at university or through an apprenticeship or traineeship. It does not matter if you paid for this training or it was subsidised by the Government.
However, you would only be eligible if the Certificate III qualification was completed while at secondary school. Contact ARC for other available options.
Is my Certificate III qualification only valid in Queensland?
No, the Certificate III qualifications on offer are all nationally recognised qualifications.
What happens if I don’t finish a Certificate 3 Guarantee qualification?
Under the Certificate 3 Guarantee, you are entitled to access government subsidised training for one completed Certificate III qualification. If you don’t complete the qualification, you are still eligible to access funding for another Certificate III qualification. However you may be limited in how many times you can move from one unfinished qualification to another as government funding is limited. For this reason, it’s important that you take the time to consider your training options and all fee costs, before enrolling and commencing training. Click here for the ARC cancellations and refund policy.
Do I have to pay back any money if I do not finish a Certificate 3 Guarantee course?
No, you will not be required to pay back any of the government subsidy paid to ARC. But it is very important that you clarify with ARC for terms and conditions of their refund policy should you decide to discontinue training.
If you want to take advantage of this opportunity and increase your career prospects with a nationally recognised qualification please Contact Us to complete the ARC enrolment form.
Note: Eligible individuals must understand that the entitlement under the Certificate 3 Guarantee is for one Government subsidised training place in a funded Certificate III Qualification. It is very important that you take the time to consider and compare your training options and costs, before signing an enrolment form or committing to a course of study which will use up your entitlement.
